Feeling grateful for these wonderful ladies who helped guide me through 12 weeks of cardiac rehab, followed by almost six months of speech therapy. Today was graduation day.

An easy blood draw, like the ones I used to have pre-hospital visit in January of 2018 when I was jabbed so many times that most of my veins either popped, collapsed, or were unable to yield the required amount of blood.

Feeling grateful for a very thoughtful daughter who I'm sure had better things to do on a Sunday than bring my two great-grandsons over for a surprise visit.

Two angels sent to brighten up my day--one bearing chicken soup and pasta;

the other stopping by for a surprise visit.

Both arrived at the same time, and I think they were just as surprised as I was when they discovered they were coming to the same place.

Wish I had thought to take a picture when I opened the door. These selfies they sent later will have to do.

This scribbled note I found on the eve of the nine month anniversary of my open heart surgery. Every word is true and timely.

"Dear friend, God may send some valuable gifts wrapped in unattractive paper. But do not worry about the wrappings, for you can be sure that inside He has hidden treasures of love, kindness, and wisdom. If we simply take what He sends and trust Him for the blessing inside, we will learn the meaning of the secrets of His providence, even in times of darkness." (A. B. Simpson)

While loading my car at Costco, I prayed there would be someone in the parking lot when I got home who could help me carry my bags up to my apartment, but there wasn't, so I took two of the less heavy ones up myself.

I was just about to go back down for more when my door bell rang and there stood the answer to my prayer.

My neighbor in the apartment below mine had heard a loud thud that sounded like someone falling on the kitchen floor, so she had come up to check on me. A royal summons? God does use mysterious ways.

A very timely and uplifting book that addresses some issues I've been grappling with.

Today's glimpse was too incredible for words.

The defective amaryllis my friend gave me for Christmas several years ago, and that I could not bear to throw out because I saw a tiny bit of green within its withered bulb, has suddenly started to bloom.
