The convenience of being able to make Amazon returns through Kohls. There is no charge, and they will even package the item for you.

A pleasant surprise with my receipt--this coupon for an extra 25% off my next purchase at the store.

An external bluetooth speaker that is enabling me to hear clear sounds on my raspy old computer.

Flash of insight that led my daughter to find my missing pot lids in a hidden gap in the cabinet we didn't know was there. (For full post, click here.)

A good report on my annual echocardiogram, and a very kind nurse practitioner who was willing to come in and listen to my heart and lungs, since that's the one thing my cardiologist won't be able to do on my upcoming Zoom telemed visit.

A thoughtful son-in-law who surrounded me with fans to keep me cool during a deckside visit on a very hot day.

Grateful for this window unit that drew out the moisture I had allowed to permeate my apartment when I opened all the windows on an ultra hot, muggy day. My central A/C had stopped working, and I did not give any thought to how the oppressive humidity about to enter with the breeze would make it even harder for me to breathe.

Wanting to take a walk--and see this new bench at the Tack Shop, but not sure I could walk that far.

Sudden thought to leave my car parked at the library when I went to pick up my holds, and walk to the Tack Shop from there.

Good thing I heeded that prompt. It was over 6500 steps.

Feeling grateful for this grandson who did an awesome job of cleaning up my balcony, and wouldn't even let me pay him for it.

Appropriately, the logo on his T-shirt says, "Day of Service."

We're not supposed to recycle plastic bags, so I turn mine upside down and shake the contents into the recycle bin. This is quite a feat, because I am short, and the top of the bin is a little higher than my shoulders.

Today, as I struggled to shake everything out, I heard/felt a faint jingle.

I'm grateful beyond words for the very timely warning that my keys were tangled in the bag and about to wind up in the dumpster with the rest of the trash. I'm even more grateful that I took heed, despite my big rush to be done and move on.

Today's mail brought a lovely surprise. Two vouchers sent by our town to encourage us to shop local and help support Purcellville businesses during this challenging time.

Thank you, Town of Purcellville!

A gift from my very talented artist friend. It will fit perfectly on the bare spot on my wall where a puzzle that warped and had to be taken down once hung.

A gift from a special friend who saw something I posted on Facebook a while back about how I wished shoe horns were still around--especially the long ones they used to have back in the days of my youth.
