For almost a year, I'd been putting off switching out my modems. The thought of having to crawl under my computer desk and try to figure out which wire went where overwhelmed me. 

Today I decided to just go ahead and do it, and discovered that nothing like that was necessary. All I had to do was unplug those two little wires in the back of the old modem, and plug them into the new one.
